Why did my battery fail
There are two main reasons as to why batteries
fail when well looked after, one is a gradual degradation of the active material
that forms the battery and the other reason is separator failure. Separator
failure is much more common and results in a shorted call. The battery will
self-discharge in a few days if this is the problem. The degradation of the
cell us just part of the normal ageing process of cycling the battery. To
avoid these problems it is best to NOT cycle your batteries after EVERY charge. |
